If we listen, we will hear.
This morning as I was reading an email from a relative who was asking for prayer, a passage exploded in my head. It was a perfect response to her issue. So I quoted Psalm 73:26: “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

If we listen, we will hear Him.

Rachel!!! My sweeet Kiwi friend! I hear you are rugby happy this year.

Thanksgiving really is nice. Pumpkin pie… I never liked it when I was younger, but I do now. If you remember some of Fani’s sweeter creations in Worcester, with all the nutmeg, cinnamon, and sugar in the pumpkin and then make it creamier and perhaps sweeter, then put it in a nice pie crust and top it all off with whipped cream, you could begin to imagine pumpkin pie.

Can’t imagine what thanksgiving would be like. It sounds like a great tradition. Not sure what pumpking pie would be like?? Is that a sweet desert?

It’s about 11:15 am at my house and I’ve just carved the turkey and the ham in anticipation of the hord of family that will descend on us in about an hour.
I love it! It’s fabulous!

By the way Brian, I led a short term mission trip to Costa Rica a few years ago and we worked in the towns of Santa Cruz and San Juan. We were able to share the Gospel with a self-proclaimed witch doctor which led to his change in perspective. I pray that it stuck.

I’d love to be there with you guys. It should be a great adventure. Be sure to keep everyone up to date on what you’re doing and how the family is fairing.

You have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day too. From the looks of the picture, you truly have a lot to be thankful for. Praise God!
