We said goodbye to a part of our team today - an English family. Pray for Paul and Kerry Drinkwater and their three children, Ellen, David, and George. Pray for us as well as we have two weeks remaining here in South Africa and we hope to finish strong. Our hearts our heavy in this farewell to the Drinkwaters.

Sorry to write this on your blog - I have problems with my email at present. I hope that the outreach is going well. Just a quick note to say that I am now going to be away from 22-25th August ( Monday is a Bank holiday) though you could stay at my flat if I could get the keys to you. Can you come the weekend before or will that be too soon after getting back from SA ? The only thing is that my flat is right next to a railway - I got used to the trains (there are goods trains in the middle of the night) very quickly but I do not know how you all cope with noise.
There is the Notting Hill Carnival on the Sunday - Europe’s largest street carnival. There are lots of floats and music but also lots and lots of people (around a million) and some undesirable things as drunkeness and drug taking so you may want to avoid that. One thing to do is to take an open topped bus around the centre of London to see all the main sights - you can get a ticket for 24hours and get on and off as much as you like. Check the Visit London website for this and other London attractions :http://www.rialtoplus.com/rialtoplus/ConsumerControlServlet/welcome/selectCategory?webId=VisitLondon. Hampton court, Buckingham Palace, Greenwich, St Paul’s Cathedral, the Royal Parks, Trafalgar Square and the Houses of Parliament (though these are not open on Saturday or Bank Holiday Monday and you have to pay as overseas visitors - £30 per family).
