Too true, Greg. Satan doesn't mind at all if we are busy, does he?

With so much information and entertainment available, it's easy to get sucked in.
Driving from job to job in a service truck, I listen almost exclusively to an AM station that plays sermons and bible teachings. More recently however I've found myself station surfing over to NPR or other news stations. I thought it was all for the sake of being well-informed, but I sensed the Holy Spirit tell me to calm down on that. Sensory-overload should not be mistaken for education or productivity. We can spend so much time searching for some media source to stimulate us that we find ourselves not really listening to or learning anything at all.

We've got to let the Spirit speak.

Beth, I agree. We do run from reality and what lies within by being busy.

I think a great deal of our being "busy" and distracted is actually us running away from reality, that we need God, that we have issues (sin issues), that one day we are going to die. Just keep busy and you can avoid all of that. We run from quiet and solitude out of fear, fear of what we might hear in the silence. Maybe a still quiet voice that's asking us to let Him come in.
