Jesus came to seek the lost. Jesus came to save the sinner. Jesus offered Himself as the solution. Jesus didn’t offer a set of rules or propositional truths; instead, He simply called, “Come, follow me.”
I’ve spent enough of my life trying to feel good about myself by judging other people. It was always easy to do when I had a list of things that people had to do to be “good” godly people. God’s shown me a better way in Jesus. I’m going to spend the rest of my life feeling good by loving other people. How about you?
Props to Kevin Bussey for writing a few posts lately asking why people are rejecting religion. It seems simple to me; people reject what isn’t real. Let’s pursue the Real – Jesus.
