Safely to England

After 39 hours of travel by Jeepney, three airplanes, and bus, we made it back to The King’s Lodge. And, for the most part, it was uneventful other than simply being tired from lack of sleep. We found it very hard to leave and say goodbye to the Philippines as we fell in love with the Filipino people, our volunteers, and a lifestyle of ministry. But there are some things that are good to say hello to again, like….

It was so good to have a big glass of milk when we arrived; in fact, the staff here had cereal and milk waiting for us even though it was 9 p.m.

And things not so hard to say goodbye to, like….

img_3553-1.JPGIronically, I can’t even remember what this is called, but although it is a Filipino favorite, it wasn’t high on our list of “can’t miss” tastes in the Philippines! I think that it was more the consistency than the taste that made it difficult for us.

This definitely isn’t my summary post as I still am not ready to try to wrap up all that we have experienced. I need some time to collect myself, decompress, debrief, and discuss everything with Tara and the kids, but I did want to let everyone know we are back to England and will be back to Arkansas on September 2nd! I will close this post with some pictures of our goodbyes at the Cagayan de Oro airport.

So thankful you made it back to England safely! Thank you for letting us travel along with you and be your prayer partners in this Kingdom Venture.

Can’t wait to hear your over-all summary of the journey!

Enjoyed following your experiences over the past few weeks there in the Philippines and will be interested in reading your summary thoughts on the time once you have gathered your thoughts about all the Lord has allowed you to experience while there.

Bryan,
I read a post where God healed someone while you were out there. I have to document a miracle for one of my classes and I was wondering if you could help by providing informatioin on it. You can e-mail me if you would like.

Thanks
Juan

See if this helps, Juan. It is a more detailed account that I wrote for the King’s Lodge website.
