Call To Prayer

Please continue to pray that nothing prevents our going to Mindanao. We have almost 90 people planning to join 30 Filipinos in less than two weeks. We are excited and cannot wait to begin working in the areas in and near Cagayan de Oro. More bombings have just occurred on Mindanao [press for link], and our governments have been heightening the warnings against travel to this island over the past year. Here is another article from the Philippines. The cities of Davao and Cotabato are on the opposite side of the island from where we are going.

I had gotten a prayer request last week from the “International Christian Concern” for a missionary family in the Phillipines that just had a horrible tragedy happen to their son. I don’t think it’s in the same area you all are headed to though…Are you sure you still want to go through with this???

I know God is with you, but I can only imagine how your families (parents) must feel right now. I am concerned about you and don’t even know you!!!

May the LORD our God encamp His mighty angels about you and all those that will be venturing “outside the camp bearing His reproach” (Heb. 13:13) You go forth for His Name’s sake to bring His Light into the enemy’s territory. His power, His strength, His anointing be yours as you courageously step out in Faith!

Yes, I have asked many to pray for our families at home, who are worried. So, thank you for adding that here, Marie. Please do pray for Tara’s mom and dad, Bonnie and Terry, and my mom and dad, Caral and Bill. They are concerned and greatly miss their grandkids! And we miss them, too.
