CHARIS SHALOM

Bonnie Lavy, aka Miss Chick, was born in rural Darke County, Ohio, on a tenant farm a few years ago on May 25th. Since that time she met and married the man (Terry Lavy) she has spent the past 52 years with, graduated from college, helped Terry finish college, a master’s degree, and a doctoral degree, taught public schools, played marimba, piano, and sang, became known as “the singing sub” in Fayetteville, Arkansas, raised three beautiful children and now is a proud mamaw of 11 grandchildren. That isn’t the sum of her life accomplishments, but it is just a taste of who she is. Happy Birthday Mamaw! Maybe Papaw will take you fishing.
